Description

We are looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed Video Editor who understands that editing is not assembly—it is authorship. This role demands more than technical execution; it requires narrative intelligence, rhythm awareness, and the discipline to ask difficult questions of every cut: Does this serve the story, or merely fill time?

You will be responsible for shaping raw footage into compelling visual narratives across commercials, branded content, documentaries, social media, and event films—where pacing, emotion, and intent must align with strategy, not ego.

Education

Key Responsibilities Edit high-quality video content for commercials, brand films, social media, documentaries, and event coverage. Translate creative briefs and scripts into cohesive visual stories with strong pacing and emotional clarity. Select, assemble, and refine footage, ensuring narrative flow, visual consistency, and tonal precision. Apply professional color correction, sound balancing, and basic motion graphics where required. Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and creative teams to refine storytelling and messaging. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining consistency and quality under tight deadlines. Prepare final deliverables in various formats optimized for different platforms (TV, digital, social). Maintain organized project files and adhere to post-production workflows and version control. Continuously challenge creative choices to elevate output beyond “acceptable” into “memorable.”

Must Have

Required Skills & Qualifications 3–5+ years of proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably within an agency, production house, or media company. Strong portfolio demonstrating narrative editing, not just technical cuts (mandatory). High proficiency in industry-standard software: Adobe Premiere Pro (required) After Effects (basic to intermediate) DaVinci Resolve (color grading knowledge is a plus) Strong sense of timing, rhythm, visual storytelling, and emotional pacing. Solid understanding of audio fundamentals, music integration, and sound design basics. Ability to take feedback without dilution—and defend creative decisions when they matter. Exceptional attention to detail and consistency. Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience editing commercials, documentaries, or high-end branded content. Familiarity with social-first formats and platform-specific storytelling (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube). Experience working with event footage, multi-camera setups, or live production content. Basic motion graphics or title animation skills.
