Celebration of Dr. Khaled EL-Enany

ِAs the New UNESCO Director General

Project Overview

  • October 2025 marked a historic moment: Dr. Khaled El-Enany became the first Arab to be elected Director-General of UNESCO. To honor this monumental diplomatic achievement, the Egyptian Tourism Federation required an event that matched the gravity and prestige of the occasion.

Strike Media was entrusted with organizing and documenting this high-profile gala at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC).

  • The event was not just a party; it was a statement of national pride, attended by ministers, ambassadors, and industry leaders.

/ Objectives

  • Diplomatic Grandeur: The atmosphere needed to strike a balance between a celebratory gathering and a formal diplomatic function. Every detail, from the red carpet to the stage design, had to reflect the weight of the UNESCO brand and the Egyptian state.

  • Highlighting Heritage: Hosting the event at NMEC was a strategic choice. We needed to visually reinforce the connection between Dr. El-Enany’s background in antiquities and his new global role, using the museum’s architecture and the lake as a living backdrop.

  • Protocol & Prestige: With high-ranking officials and international dignitaries in attendance, ensuring flawless execution of protocol, security, and flow was paramount.

/ Challenges

  • lighting a Landmark: The NMEC is an architectural icon. The challenge was to light the open-air venue elegantly for the cameras without overpowering the museum’s natural night-time beauty or interfering with the lake’s serenity.

  • Audio Precision: In an outdoor, lakeside setting, wind can often disrupt speeches. We had to implement a crystal-clear audio solution to ensure the speeches by Mr. Hossam El-Shaer and Dr. El-Enany were captured perfectly for both the live audience and the broadcast recording.

  • Capturing Emotion: This was a personal victory for Dr. El-Enany as much as a national one. Our camera team needed to capture candid moments of pride and gratitude without being intrusive to the VIP guests.

Quick Moments

/ Final Outcome

  • The final deliverable is a dignified, cinematic event recap that serves as a historical record of this night.

    • Cinematic Drone Shots: We utilized wide aerial angles to showcase the scale of the setup against the illuminated museum and the Cairo skyline, establishing the grandeur of the location.

    • Narrative Focus: The edit prioritizes the key messages—national pride, Arab achievement, and future support—weaving the speeches with shots of the elegant cello performance and VIP interactions.

    • Brand Alignment: The video seamlessly integrates the identities of the Egyptian Tourism Federation and UNESCO, reinforcing the partnership between tourism and culture.
